Howard Travel Rib-Eating Contest 
Once again this year at RibFest we are offering you the opportunity to pig-out! Challenge your friends, co-workers, family members or other businesses by supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville.

This challenge requires teams of four. It is a minimum of $200 to enter a team (only $50 per person) and there are many ways you can come up with the money. You can get sponsors to donate the money to you, get your friends and family to pledge you or shake out your piggy bank. Either way get your money together because you will want to be part of this free fun-filled family food festival.

People's Choice

This is a taste test that is open to the public. Taste some delicious ribs and choose your favourite ribber!

 

Corporate Challenge

On Friday August 7th, 2009 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville Corporate Challenge is proud to provide an afternoon of light competition and physical activity that promotes friendly corporate rivalry while benefiting a local charity. Working together, we can continue to make a difference in our community while spending time with our friends and colleagues. 
We are targeting up to 72 participants and countless spectators to join us at Hardy Park on August 7th, 2009. The proceeds of this event will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville while we enjoy some friendly competition and networking in the business community. We want to invite you to be involved in making this event a success with one of the following sponsorship opportunities:  Spirit Award, Door Prizes, Trophy, Rib Dinners.

Sign up and register your team of 5 or 6 players ages 12+.  A minimum of 2 adults per team.  The fee for a team is $100.  Each participate is asked to bring 3 or more canned goods for Operation Harvest Sharing.  The event runs rain or shine!

 

Arm Wrestling Challenge

On Saturday, August 8th, 2009 there will be an Arm Wrestling Challenge for Adults and children.  Are you up for the challenge?  Registration runs from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm on Saturday.  The arm wrestling starts at 1:00 pm.  The children's competition will run from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, with the adult competition running from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.  

The adult classes will be as follows:

Men's Right 0-143 lbs
Men's Right 144-165 lbs
Men's Right 166-187 lbs
Men's Right 188-220 lbs
Men's Right 221+ lbs
Men's Left 0-143 lbs
Men's Left 144-165 lbs
Men's Left 166-187 lbs
Men's Left 188-220 lbs
Men's Left 221+ lbs
Women's Right Open
 
Kids classes would be arranged depending on participation.

A registration fee of $15 to the adult competitors for the first category in which they participate, and $10 if they wish to compete in additional categories. Kids compete for free.
